Intentions du projet
Bonjour à tous ! Hello everyone !

LETTER OF INTENT -
« From Lima to Managua » is the adventure
of two young adults in the heart of Latin America culture on their quest for
reality.
From one encounter to another, and already supported
by various South American NGOs, this film is more than just an account of
current events and situations, is a strong humane experience , the initiatory
journey of a reporter in the making and an aspiring cameraman completely
immersed in a radically opposed to theirs. In this crossing of the South
American continent, passing through Brazil, Peru and Nicaragua, we will quickly
forget the little shoulder camera as well as the supporting camcorder,
transporting viewers big and small, pushing them to introspection, guiding them through the breathtaking Latin
American landscapes.
Amongst others, we will mainly be able to observe the
efforts of the WWOOF (Wolrd Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms), that gives
thousands of people around the world the opportunity to participate in the
protection of the environment, this way we will learn more about the Peruvian
and Brazilian ecosystems while we walk along the numerous reservations and
forests. In Nicaragua we will share the daily life of pastors who dedicate
their lives to helping others, working at the faculty of theology established
in the capital in 1986. We will also meet Peruvian women, helped by the
organization ORT International on their way to giving birth in the most unconceivable
sanitary conditions.
Presently, it is sometimes hard for us to separate things
and take a step back, to know where the desire starts and where the need stops,
what still chocks us and what fell into normality. So it is through that
approach, visually going back to our roots in a way, that we have chosen the
sober and realistic genre of the documentary, without stigmatizing or
exploiting human misery, so as to raise awareness amongst young and not so
young of our town, our region, and maybe even our country, to voice a message
of solidarity and sustainable progress.
Witness of the journey of two young adults without
qualifications in a complex and unforgiving world, simply giving a voice to
those who haven't got one and showing how true a statement it is, that our
differences are what make the wealth of this world and how much a small daily
gesture and an open mind are worth a thousand speeches.
Every person, no matter how small, where they come
from, their religion, has their worth and a place in society. And it is with
great humility and curiosity that we are engaging in this humane adventure
aspiring to breaking taboos and disproving stereotypes. Thanks to all those
that already support us and thank you and welcome to those who are joining in
the adventure, every small gesture counts !
